The shelter explored in the article reports that it has been forced to turn away 20% more women than usual due to this new trend.

About Us
The Community Advocacy & Legal Centre (CALC) is a non-profit community legal clinic. We serve low income residents of Hastings, Prince Edward and Lennox & Addington counties. The clinic is currently staffed by lawyers, community legal workers, law clerks and support staff and is funded by Legal Aid Ontario. A community-based Board of Directors is responsible for the clinic's operation.
